The IUG 2010 Conference is only days away. As you prepare to head to Chicago, Illinois, we'd like to highlight some information to help you plan your trip. There is a lot of information here so scan and find what interests you. There are goodies below so don't be afraid of the length of the email. I will post this information as an FAQ on the IUG website, too.

Navigating the Hotel - When you enter the conference hotel, you are on the Lobby Level = Level 3. Yes, the 3rd floor.
Local Arrangements Website - The LA Committee has a great site with restaurant and shopping recommendations, transportation tips and all-around great Chicago information. http://iug2010local.ucr.edu
Local Arrangements Table - The LA Committee will have a table near the Registration Desk to assist with specific questions. The table will be staffed by committee members familiar with Chicago during key registration hours and breaks between sessions.
Registration Desk - Pick up your badge, program guide and swag.
Internet Access - Visit the email and internet area sponsored by EnvisionWare. Free. Level 1 in the Exhibits area. Printing is available.

- Monday, April 19, 2010: 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, April 20, 2010: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, April 21, 2010: 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Internet in Your Hotel Room - Staying at the conference hotel? $12.95 for a single day or a flat fee of $20 for your entire stay. Wired in guest rooms, not wireless.

Opening Session - Monday morning, 9-11am, Sheraton Chicago Ballroom. Welcome, Innovative and IUG updates, Crystal Awards, Beacon Award, Raffle. What's not to love? And, of course, our keynote speaker is Scott Simon, host of Weekend Edition Saturday on National Public Radio, writer and novelist. Author Signing - Scott Simon will be available to sign copies of his books in the Exhibit Hall immediately following the Opening Session. A local bookstore will handle your transactions.
Mobile Version of Conference Schedule - Check out the mobile version of the conference schedule. This site will be available during the conference for your convenience. http://iug2010.innovativeusers.orgAttendees List - There is a link to the Conference attendees list in Excel format on the Conferences page. MyIUG login required. We will have a few paper copies at the registration desk for your perusal.
Concession Breakfast - Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, 7:30 - 9:00am on Ballroom level (4th Floor).
All Conference Lunch - Pick up your box lunch on Tuesday in River A, Level 1, 11:30am - 12:30pm. Enjoy in River A, attend a forum, hang out with friends, or have a little quiet time.
All Conference Dessert Reception - Monday, 8-10pm in the Sheraton Chicago Ballroom. Sponsored by Innovative Interfaces, this is a perennial favorite. Mingle with IUG colleagues and Innovative staff. Grab a light dinner first and leave plenty of room for the tempting desserts and drinks.
Indiana LEU Credit - IUG 2010 has been approved for Library Education Credits - General and Technology. Look for "Innovative Users Group" at: http://in.webjunction.org/667/-/articles/content/4080024
